"Armenian terrorist organization ASALA acquires some military training camps in Lebanon. It is also possible that they have some in Syria. Hence, they do not have any influences in European countries and in most cases ASALA can only put forward threatening statements," Political scientist and an independent member of the Milli Majlis Rasim Musabayov told in an interview to SIA.
"We have to inform society about this threat and we must also maintain some basic preventive measures, despite the fact that the ASALA is not the same terrorist organisation as it lost its strength to a large degree" Musabayov said.
He also commented on recent news about Armenian National Parliament to recognise Nagorno-Karabakh Republic: "The recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by Armenian parliament is completely nonsense. They could only get one vote in the Parliament agreeing with this proposal. "
In respond to extradition and pardoning of Azerbaijani soldier, Musabayov said: "The note handed to Azerbaijan by Hungarian government and the reaction of European Union on Ramil Safarov’s extradition has not such a great effect on our state."
"Our relations with other states are not jeopardized. Ramil Safarov is not a hero; in fact this issue has not brought any positive results for Azerbaijan. Nevertheless, whatever happened is happened and R. Safarov was in jail for a considerable time" he added.
