President receives special envoy of Russian president on CIS

On 31 May President Ilham Aliyev received special envoy of Russian President for the CIS, the head of the Federal Agency for CIS affairs, compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation Konstantin Kosachev.

According to the official website of the President of Azerbaijan, Kosachev conveyed the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev and congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Special Representative was pleased to mention his involvement in a recent ceremony in Moscow in the memory of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
Highlighting the successful development of relations between our two countries in various areas, including economic and humanitarian spheres, K. Kosachev noted the importance of the Baku international humanitarian forum in further expansion of humanitarian cooperation.

In turn, the head of state emphasized the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.

Noting the presence of deep roots and ties between our two countries, President Ilham Aliyev said that the high level of economic and humanitarian cooperation also contributes to the expansion of our relations in other areas.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
