Minister of Emergency visits earthquake area

Azerbaijan’s Emergency Minister, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov visited Zagatala region due to the quake occurred in Azerbaijan’s north-west.

SIA reports quoting the Emergency Ministry’s website that the aftershocks were felt in Zagatala, Shaki, Gakh, Oghuz, Mingechevir, Gedebey and Shamkir.

The ministry’s aviation detachment and the other emergency-rescue forces were involved in the site.

5.5-magnitude (about 7-magnitude by Richter scale) first quake was recorded on 17 km south-west of Zagatala region in 10-12km depth.

Then two more quakes occurred after it.
