Azerbaijan is among the UN list of countries of high level development rates-Ramiz Mehdiyev

Azerbaijan is among the UN list of countries of high level development rates.

Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev has made the statement at the conference "Azerbaijan 2020: new targets of development", organized by the New Azerbaijan Party on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Gulustan Palace

Mehdiyev said that a few years ago Azerbaijan took 101 among 169 countries in this matter while now it is 68th.


"For its economic development competition, Azerbaijan is first in the CIS space and 51st in the world. Today Azerbaijan is viewed as a reliable partner in bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Azerbaijan has turned into the countries that contribute to energy security of the world.


Mehdiyev noted that Azerbaijan’s election as nonpermanent member of the UN Security Council, its participation among ten countries as the only country from the CIS space in the meeting of 20 held in Mexico, show the diplomatic and political victory of our country and the acknowledgment of its achievements in the world.

The presidential administration chief also said that Development Concept ‘Azerbaijan-2020: look into future’ is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

"This concept will reflect the country’s path, its achievements of all these years, as well as the modern state construction model implemented over the past years".
