Meeting of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission of Georgia and Azerbaijan to hold

Azerbaijan is the main trade partner for Georgia, deputy head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Nino Kalandadze told the media today, commenting on the seventh meeting of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission of Georgia and Azerbaijan scheduled for December 20. The meeting will be held in Tbilisi on Tuesday.

"A number of economic cooperation issues between Georgia and Azerbaijan will be considered at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission," she said. "In particular, issues of energy, agriculture, transport and environment as well as information technology are among them."

She said that a top level specialist meeting will be held. "Georgia and Azerbaijan have a positive economic turnover," she said. "We want economic relations between the countries to be more intense in the future."
