President Ilham Aliyev inaugurates Nizami movie theatre after major reconstruction

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva on Thursday attended the inauguration of Nizami movie theatre after the major reconstruction works.
The Head of State cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the theatre.
Minister of culture and tourism Abulfas Garayev said that the reconstruction of the theatre was carried out in accordance with Azerbaijani President’s decree on development of Azerbaijan movie industry.
In the foyer of the theatre, President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva viewed photographs reflecting the previous status and the process of reconstruction of the theater.
The theater has 50 and 80-seat auditorium on the ground floor, 500-seat major cinema hall on the first floor and 24-seat VIP cinema hall on the fourth floor.
The theater will also house shopping centers on the ground floor, cafeterias on the first floor, café club and press center on the third floor, 250-seat restaurant of national and European cuisine and administrative rooms on the fourth and fifth floors.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva watched the fragments from movies in VIP and major halls. Then the President was presented a reconstruction layout of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. The Head of State praised the reconstruction works and gave relevant recommendations.
