Moldovan envoy to Azerbaijan Igor Bodyu denied the reports spread by Moldovan mass media that his country would continue selling weapon to Armenia.

The ambassador said that he communicated with his country’s officials and the information was completely denied:

"First of all, these reports were spread by Moldova’s pro-opposition media. The question is not about Armenia. Now Armenia is not in the list of countries that have arms deal with Moldova".

Despite the scandal, Moldovan leadership is going to deliver the rest of the arms to the client from Armenia, Moldova’s Defense Minister Vitaly Marinutsa told journalists about it, reports Moldnews.

At the meeting of the parliament’s commission on national security, defense and public order, he called on the parliamentarians to cite to the facts and legal documents, not to the media reports.

Minister said Moldova will fulfill the arms deals till the end.

"There is no legal document banning it. I hope the deal will be fulfilled in the short run. The deal does not contain a doubtful point, we must complete it," he said.
