A shocking incident has unfolded where a seven-year-old girl had to be rescued by farmers after being buried alive by people claiming to be her aunt and uncle. The same situation will be sent or will be assumed and second part
The little girl, named Tanu was allegedly abducted and abused by her ‘family members’ for days by being strangled and beaten, before being lured into a hole and covered with dirt in the village of Maanpur, India.
Amazingly, local farmer Alok Kumar, alerted to her plight when he heard her muffled screams when passing the field, managed to dig her out and rush her to hospital before she asphyxiated.
The girl, whose age some media outlets have reported as being five-years-old, was reportedly in a semi-conscious state when she was removed from the ground.
Speaking of her ordeal, the unidentified girl told Headlines Today: ‘He had asked me to go along with him to eat food..
"He then dug a hole and put mud on top of me".
Sitapur Police are now searching for the couple, who they say may not actually have been her real aunt and uncle. Police chief Rajesh Krishna told Mail Today: ‘Tanu has told us that a couple took her with them a few days ago and tried to strangulate her. They later buried her in the field. She, however, could not recognise them.
He also confirmed that Tanu was covered in bruises when they found her and had marks on her neck that suggest she had been throttled. Tanu was placed in the custody of her grandmother as her mother, Renu Awasthi, is also missing.
