Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan Imre Laslotsky.
During the meeting, Minister Ali Abbasov said mutual relations between the two countries are strengthening year after year in all spheres, in particular, they have entered a more active phase of development in the field of communications and high technologies, noted the interest of Azerbaijan and Hungary to cooperate in many areas of information and communication technologies (ICT).
Saying the introduction of the Hungarian experience in the field of ICT in Azerbaijan may be useful against a background of mutual friendship and warm relationship, the Minister noted that great importance will be attached to the dynamic development of relations in the future.
In turn, Imre Laslotsky highlighted the great opportunities for expansion of cooperation in various spheres, including in the field of ICT, telecommunications and high technologies, shared his views on further development of cooperation in this direction.
Noting the great interest of Hungarian companies in investment in creating Tier III regional data center in Azerbaijan, at the same time mutual investment, the diplomat said Hungary will be represented with a national pavilion at the 21st Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference (BakuTel 2015) to be held on December 2-5.
Saying mutual visits and meetings have positive impact on the development of relations between the two countries, the ambassador expressed satisfaction with the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation at international exhibition and conference ITU Telecom World 2015 to take place on October 12-15 in Budapest.
The sides also discussed other areas of cooperation, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
