Three of the four members of the Cyprus Taekwondo team have picked up medals at the Austrian Open, their last appearances before heading to Baku.
The 18-year-old Kyriaki Kouttouki won gold at the Innsbruck meet in the 49kg weight class, her sixth title this year. Kouttouki is one of four Cypriot Taekwondo fighters who will compete at the Baku 2015 European Games.
Joining her will be 23-year-old Despina Pilavaki, who won second place in the 53kg category, her second medal this season following a bronze medal at the Dutch Open, and the men's 2014 European bronze medallist Ioannis Pilavakis. He also collected a second silver medal of the season in the 63kg class. Demetres Moustakas completes the team for Baku 2015.
There will be no fewer than four Olympic Taekwondo champions competing in the European Games; Jade Jones (Great Britain), Milica Mandic (Serbia), Joel Gonzalez Bonilla (Spain) and Servet Tazegul (Turkey).
