But Mr Strutinskijj has since stated that the 24-year-old cyclist will in fact be healthy enough to compete at Baku 2015.
"Everything is alright with Anton Vorobyev. The state of his health is now normal. He will return to active training in the near future and prepare for the European Games. Therefore we do not plan any changes in the Russian team at the European Games," Mr Strutinskijj told All Sport.
