The 2015 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour kicks off this week in China at the Fuzhou Open.
The World Tour begins in China for the third consecutive time with the men's tournament running from 21-25 April and the women's competition going from 22-26 April at the Mianjiang Riverside Park.
There will be 65 men's teams from 31 countries in the Fuzhou Open and 57 women's teams from 25 nations.
The Netherlands duo of Reinder Nummerdor/Christiaan Varenhorst is the number one men's seed, followed by Russians Viacheslav Krasilnikov/Konstantin Semenov and Theodore Brunner/Nick Lucena of the United States.
The number six seed is the Netherlands' 2013 FIVB world champions Alexander Brouwer/Robert Meeuwsen who are both coming back from injuries.
Italians Paolo Nicolai and Daniele Lupo won the Fuzhou Open last year while Latvians Aleksandrs Solovejs and Ruslans Sorokins will be playing in their first international tournament together.
Austrians Clemens Doppler and Alexander Horst are aiming to qualify for their third Olympic Games this season. And Germans Jonathan Erdmann and Kay Matysik are the 2013 world bronze medallists.
The top women's seed is USA defending Fuzhou champions April Ross/Kerri Walsh Jennings followed by Chinese Fan Wang/Yuan Yue and Germans Chantal Laboureur/Julia Sude.
The next FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Open will be on 12-17 May in the Swiss city of Lucerne. Some of the World Tour teams will also be competing at the Baku 2015 European Games.
