Chelsea were crowned as the League Cup winners by winning against city rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final at Wembley Stadium, London on Sunday.
Chelsea captain John Terry scored the opening goal of the final in the 45th minute. In 56’, Tottenham defender Kyle Walker found his own net and doubled the score for Chelsea.
Two goals made Chelsea secure the win in the final, bringing The Blues the domestic trophy at Wembley.
It was reported that 89,297 spectators watched the final.
Chelsea won the League Cup in 1965, 1998, 2005 and 2007. In 2008, Chelsea again met Tottenham in the final but Spurs won it 2-1.
The Blues Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho won his seventh cup at Chelsea.
Mourinho had led London giants Chelsea to two English Premier League titles, two League Cup trophies, one FA Cup and one Community Shield.
