A commemorative evening dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation.
SIA reports citing the Vestnik Kavkaza that opening the commemorative evening, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu noted that it is right that a significant part of his life was connected with Moscow.
Other participiants also spoke about the National Leader's life and great activity.
"Heydar Aliyev was engaged in a very difficult sphere. He was engaged in the social sphere in the USSR when he was Deputy Prime Minister. And his understanding of the role of culture, science and education in the life of any country were great. He remained one more very important thing. He knew the value of international relations. And in this sense, I think that the depth of his understanding of the complex processes that occur in any multi-ethnic country was also excellent. And one more thing. He was a real patriot of his homeland, and he was a patriot of his native land. This is also his legacy,’’ the special representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation, Mikhail Shvydkoy said.
The Chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Ties with Compatriots, Leonid Slutsky, noted that Heydar Aliyev's life was not easy, but he untiringly and efficiently served his people. Thousands of people decided to build their professional career based on the example of Heydar Aliyev.
