Azerpost Ltd, the national postal operator of Azerbaijan, continues testing of the system of urgent money transfers via STEFI (Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information) with Lithuania.
According to Azerpost, the system will soon be put into operation. The application of the system STEFI will enable Azerbaijani postal operator to carry out money transfers to Lithuania within 30 minutes. STEFI makes it possible to replace the traditional paper money order services with electronic money order services.
Today Azerpost Ltd provides money transfers via STEFI to Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates. The service will also be introduced on Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The main advantage of the system for Azerbaijani post is that the proceeds from transactions carried out via STEFI will remain at the disposal of Azerpost.
