Dissertation on cognitive technologies written under scientific supervision of academician Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and High Technologies, was successfully defended and approved by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Dissertation on the theme “Methods and models of identification of key management competencies of telecommunications companies” was defended at ANAS Institute of Control Systems by candidate for a degree Islam Safarli.
Thus, methods and models developed by Islam Safarli are based on ideas and tools of cognitive technologies.

This is the second dissertation on cognitive technologies defended in Azerbaijan.
First dissertation on cognitive technologies was defended in the country in 2004. Its supervisor was also Academician Ali Abbasov.
For information: cognitive technologies, along with bio, nano and information technologies are classified by the US National Science Foundation as main trends of the world science for the upcoming 50 years.
Cognitive technologies open up a new stage in modeling and management of complex (semistructured) objects, forming the dominant class of objects of the modern world other than deterministic, probabilistic and fuzzy traditional objects.
