Azercell Telecom – the leader of Azerbaijan’s telecommunication market, has reached another success.
Once again the Company was awarded with the Silver Certificate of compliance under the requirements of the “Investors in People” (IIP) standards. Azercell Telecom is the first company to receive the Silver Certificate among the CIS countries and the most importantly among the telecom companies internationally.
Moreover, currently only 19 companies outside of the UK have been able to qualify for the Silver Certificate. We would like to remind, that Azercell was first awarded with the Certificate of the Investors in People Standard in 2006.
Representatives of the Investors in People Standard award the certificate based on the findings of a registered IIP Assessors of internationally registered “International Quality Center”. IQC commission decides on company adherence with the requirements of the IIP Standard.
Azercell Telecom has implemented a variety of tasks during the Recertification process. IIP consultants held individual interviews with the company staff, as well as had face-to-face meetings, interviews over email and over a phone with the representatives of regional offices. 94 out of 126 IIP Standards were accessed successfully and 61 Azercell staff member joined the interview process.
This international Standard evaluates and measures such indexes as the level of employees’ involvement in the development of the company’s strategy and reaching the targets, the role of staff and their involvement in decision-making process, development of company’s intellectual property and compliance of the development strategy within the company, establishment of the leadership development platform, participation of the employees in the social responsibility and other processes, evaluation of the employeeperformance and recognition. Companies operating with the Investors in People Standards pass the recertification process every three years.
Successfully leaving behind the IIP recertification process Azercell Telecom once again demonstrated its outstanding performance model also in the field of Human Resources management.
