George Clooney has apologised to fans for his widely panned Batman movie during a surprise appearance at New York Comic-Con.
Fresh from his lavish wedding in Venice, the Hollywood star walked on stage during a panel discussion for his upcoming film, the Disney fantasy film Tomorrowland.
"Since I did Batman, I've been de-invited from Comic-Con," he told fans.
"I met Adam West and apologised," he said, referring to the actor who played the caped crusader in the 1960s TV series.
The 1997 Batman & Robin movie - in which Clooney played Batman and Chris O'Donnell starred as his sidekick - was poorly received and Clooney has expressed regret at taking part in the project in the past.
