George Clooney has reportedly revealed he is to marry his fiancee Amal Alamuddin in Venice in a couple of weeks.
The actor and the British human rights lawyer were in Florence to support Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli in raising funds for charity.
An excited crowd waited outside the city's town hall, the Palazzo Vecchio, hoping for a glimpse of Clooney and Ms Alamuddin.
The couple posed for photographers both outside and inside as photographers shouted for "George" to turn towards them.
The Hollywood star told the audience gathered at the Celebrity Fight Night event he is excited about tying the knot.
"I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places,” he told People magazine.
Clooney was presented with the Humanitarian Award at the black-tie event, held in support of the Andrea Bocelli Foundations and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.
Rumours have surrounded the couple and where and when they will marry. Clooney has close ties to Italy and owns a villa on Lake Como.
Last month the couple, who got engaged in April, registered their marriage at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.
