"Therefore, 91 Azerbaijani intellectuals applied to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev on October 16, 1992, to defend Azerbaijan's independence through "SAS" newspaper. People wanted him as a leader. Heydar Aliyev was in the hearts of the people. Everyone knew that, nobody could save Azerbaijan except Heydar Aliyev. National Leader Heydar Aliyev presented the concept of the rescue of Azerbaijan through "SAS" newspaper. At that time, the people demanded come back to power of Heydar Aliyev, and so it happened. The return of the Great Leader was written in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan and saved our country from all misfortunes"- Expert emphasized.
Bahruz Guliyev added that, at that time the economic, cultural and moral situation was very difficult and the civil war was going on. "The mission consisted of being with his people so difficult days and He could do it. It was his love for the people which brought him to power. The greatest success and victory of Azerbaijan is that, Azerbaijan has gained its independence forever. Today Azerbaijan is the largest and most powerful country in the region. Heydar Aliyev Foundation also skillfully continues the heritage of Great Leader."
