President Ilham Aliyev attends the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council

Baku hosts the 7th Summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic- Speaking States (Turkic Council). According to SIA President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban and President of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States Nursultan Nazarbayev are attending the event.

The summit was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement on the Establishment of the Turkic Council (3 October 2009). Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are founding member states.

Within the framework of the Summit it will be decided to establish a Coordination Committee of the Turkic Council. Turkic Council is an international platform to promote dialogue and cooperation between Turkic-Speaking States.
