The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will become a new exam in the country’s modern history, Head of the "Center for Strategic Studies of Religion and Politics of the Modern World" under Russian President Maxim Shevchenko have stated.
Azerbaijan develops in difficult geopolitical conditions, including the fact that 20 percent of the country’s lands are under Armenian occupation, he said.
He believes that wise Azerbaijani people will make a right choice.
Those who propose concrete solutions to social problems will win the elections. Electorate will vote for those who will effectively solve the problems in education, healthcare, etc., he said.
Shevchenko also believes that the West’s pressure on Azerbaijan on the eve of the elections is connected with the close relations between Moscow and Baku.
