Azerbaijan is properly prepared for the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held on November 1, Kazakh expert on post-Soviet conflicts Daniyar Kasymov told Secki2015.az.
I believe that the elections will pass without any excesses. All conditions have been created for Azerbaijani citizens to easily realize their constitutional right, Kasymov said.
According to him, there will be some 10-15 observers from Kazakhstan to monitor the elections not only in Baku, but also in the regions.
Kasymov believes that the representatives of the “Yeni Azerbaijan” party will get the majority of seats in parliament. And this is quite natural. Over two decades, the party has proven itself as a political force able to effectively solve all important tasks, taking into account the interests of ordinary people, as well undertake responsibility for the fate of the country and people, Kasymov said.
According to Kasymov, today Azerbaijan is a developed, secular and democratic country.
Western institutions closely watching the development of democracy in the post-Soviet countries are eager to give different recommendations usually far from reality, and to provoke protest mood in society etc., Kasymov said.
Of course, if foreign observers give good advice, it is certainly worth considering. But if they have to remember that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
