At the meeting, co-chairman of the Joint Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Iraq Ali Abbasov noted the great interest and effort of both sides for further development of relations in all areas, and the government’s support for these initiatives. Saying there is great potential for further expanding of cooperation in the field of ICT and high technologies, the Minister spoke about new trends and future prospects in the Azerbaijani-Iraqi relations.
Saying relations based on mutual confidence and friendship will continue on these values henceforth, Ambassador Haydar Shia highly appreciated the role of the first session of the Joint Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Iraq took place in Baku co-chaired by Minister Ali Abbasov in the development of cooperation. The diplomat said the debates launched in Baku on new directions of cooperation would be continued in the second session of the Joint Commission in Baghdad, and expressed confidence in the success of these negotiations, the increase in dynamic development of relations in all areas, including in the field of communications and high technologies.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Ali Abbasov once again thanked the ambassador for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries and wished him success in his future activity.
