On August 18, the first meeting of the ministers of information and media issues of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) will kick off in Astana, Kazakhstan.
reports that Azerbaijan will be represented by the delegation led by President's Aide for Public and Political Affairs, Ali Hasanov. The delegation includes Director General of the Azerbaijan State News Agency AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov and Director General of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Jamil Guliyev.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov (moderator), Kazakh Investment and Development Minister Asset Issekeshev, Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Altynbek Maksudov, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan will attend the event.
Parties agreed on the discussion and approval of the report of the Coordination Group for the Establishment of International Turkic News Channel, and the approval of the conception document for the Turkic Council’s channel, the joint Cooperation Protocol on information and media to be signed by ministers, the Cooperation Protocol among national television channels of the Turkic Council, and the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation among news agencies of the Turkic Council at the meeting. Also, other aspects of cooperation among CCTS countries on the information and media sectors, the determination of a location for the second meeting the Turkic Council’s ministers on information and media issues, etc. will be discussed.
