Egyptian "Al-Masry Al-Youm" internet publication has posted an article on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Turkey, particularly a ceremony for welcoming him hosted by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace, SIA reports with reference to AzerTac.
The article said President Ilham Aliyev was given an excellent welcome by his Turkish counterpart.
“Accompanied by the cavalry, President Ilham Aliyev arrived at the residence of the Turkish President. A ceremonial guard of honor was arranged for the Azerbaijani President at the square outside the Presidential Palace.”
“Sixteen soldiers, dressed in historical military uniforms symbolizing the different periods of the Turkish empire, attended the ceremony. A twenty-one gun salute was fired in honor of the Azerbaijani President after Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyib Erdogan mounted the platform.”
“The President of Azerbaijan saluted the guard of honour, and the heads of state then posed together for photographs.”
The article said that Turkish senior state and government officials attended the welcoming ceremony.
