Azerbaijani Defense Ministry comments on reports that Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kaspzyk visited the crash site of Armenia’s Mi-24 military helicopter. “The reports that Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kaspzyk reviewed the area in Aghdam region, where Armenia’s Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down, are baseless and false.” said at the statement, SIA reports.
According to Defense Ministry the monitoring was conducted in the pre-defined area - on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops near Marzili village of Aghdam region and any incident did not occur during the monitoring.
"Some media outlets reported quoting press service of the OSCE that Andrzej Kasprzyk has visited the area where Armenia’s Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down while attacking the Azerbaijani positions. The Armenian side constantly commits provocations in that area. Once again, we state that the reports on the OSCE representatives’ and Andrzej Kasprzyk’ visiting the area are groundless and false. Their security has only been assured in the specified and monitored area. This area is 20 km away from the area where the helicopter was shot down” the statetement says.
