“Today intercultural dialogue is more important in the world. It provides peace and security." SIA reports that the Chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli told this at the meeting “Intercultural dialogue: interaction between culture and religion” within the framework the 2014 Council of Europe exchange on the religious dimension of intercultural dialogue.
Mubariz Gurbanli also highlighted that the constitution of Azerbaijan provides for freedom of religion. “Azerbaijan has become a major driving force from an active participant in intercultural dialogue. Mosques, synagogues and churches operate in an environment of tolerance in Azerbaijan.” noted Gurbanli.
The chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations touching upon Armenia’s aggression told that Armenia's aggressive policy is not an aggression of a European country against the other but a serious threat to peace and security. According to him, various religious and ethnic groups, all nations and religions in Azerbaijan live in friendship.
