Police arrested two men Sunday after a gun accidentally went off at a wedding New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel Saturday injuring at least four people.
Vladimir Gotlibovsky, 42, is charged with reckless endangerment and assault. Police also said Gotlibovsky tampered with physical evidence after his gun discharged inside the famed hotel.
Felix Gotlibovsky, 51, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
But a spokesman for the Manhattan district attorney said later Sunday that a prosecution into a gunfire incident is being deferred while an investigation is continuing and that Vladimir Gotlibovsky had a permit to carry the gun.
Authorities say the Brooklyn men were at the Park Avenue hotel Saturday night as a wedding was taking place. Exactly what caused the shot was unclear.
