New administrative building of International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation opens in Baku

A new administrative building of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation has been inaugurated in Baku, SIA reports.

The opening ceremony was attended by foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Hungary as well as the Secretary General of TURKSOY.

The participants toured the building and viewed an exhibition on history, culture and traditions of the Turkic speaking-states.

Addressing the participants, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva highlighted the organization`s history and activity. She stressed the importance of preserving, studying and promoting the material and cultural heritage of the Turkic world. Afandiyeva said the new administrative building would host events on culture, history and rich heritage of the Turkic speaking-states.

The International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was established in 2012 at the Second Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States.

The Foundation provides assistance in protecting, studying and promoting Turkic culture and heritage through supporting and funding various activities, projects and programs. It works in close collaboration with TURKSOY and the Turkic Academy.
