Two years will have passed in October since the inauguration of the permanent exposition of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Yekaterinburg Library Centre, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia.
On this occasion and in connection with the state Independence Day of Azerbaijan, the country’s consulate general has arranged a festive event. Representatives of diplomatic missions and cultural establishments operating in Yekaterinburg got together before the Azerbaijani exposition. On the same day, an exhibition of Mirza Mammadov – a professor of the Ural State Architecture and Art Academy’s drawing department, a member of the Russian Artists Union, and his son Akbar Mammadov – an architect and designer, a laureate of international contests – was opened.
The exhibition will continue until November 20.
Mirza Mammadov’s painting series is comprised of his works created in different years. These works, combining a tranquil mood of joy and passion for nature, reflect the artist’s life philosophy. Works by Akbar Mammadov are distinguished for new vision, and application of state-of-the-art technologies.
